BlueLink Chat Privacy Policy

BlueLink Chat is operated by ClearPath Digital. BlueLink Chat is an Android Bluetooth communication app that lets nearby paired Android phones exchange messages directly without cellular service or internet.

Information the App Handles

BlueLink Chat can handle text messages, selected photos, voice notes, live call audio, paired-device names, contact nicknames, contact photos, group labels, Bluetooth device addresses, and local chat history.

How Information Is Used

The app uses this information to connect paired phones over Bluetooth, show local chat conversations, send user-selected messages and media, place Bluetooth voice calls, display paired-phone profiles, and save local chat history on the device.

Local Data

Chat history, contact nicknames, contact photos, and group labels are saved locally in app-private storage on the user's device. Users can clear chat history in the app or delete local data by clearing BlueLink Chat storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

Bluetooth Communication

BlueLink Chat does not use a developer-operated server for messages or calls. When a user connects to another paired phone, selected messages, photos, voice notes, and call audio are transmitted directly over Bluetooth to that nearby device.

Permissions

BlueLink Chat requests Bluetooth permissions to find and connect to paired devices, microphone permission for voice notes and Bluetooth voice calls, and photo/media access so users can choose photos to send or assign as contact pictures.

Data Collection and Sharing

ClearPath Digital does not collect, sell, or share BlueLink Chat message content, photos, audio, contact names, or chat history. The app does not require an account, does not use advertising SDKs, does not use analytics SDKs, and does not upload chat data to a developer-operated cloud service.

Security

Bluetooth pairing and Android permissions help limit connections to paired devices selected by the user. BlueLink Chat is designed for short-range offline communication. The current version does not yet provide app-level end-to-end encryption or identity verification beyond Android Bluetooth pairing.

Children

BlueLink Chat is a general communication utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated when BlueLink Chat's features or data practices change. The effective date will be updated when a new version is published.
